M'LOG

5/26/25

I was biking around Central Park when I heard The Rolling Stone’s “Wild Horses” playing from another biker’s stereo. I had just mentioned the song to my parents two weeks prior when it played on the radio because it reminded me of my sister’s wedding. My sister’s name is Julie, and lately we have sadly not been speaking. Hearing the song again, I got emotional, and I started to cry as I continued to ride my bike. Then, the biker playing the song  passes me, and I notice the back of her shirt says San Francisco, a city I used to live in and bike around, and where my sister had actually visited to help me pack when I decided to move to New York City.  I then look above the words “San Francisco," and I see the shirt also says “Julie.” I couldn’t believe the synchronicity of it.  "Julie’s Supper Club and Lounge" in San Francisco, huh.

I took a picture and decided I should start blogging logging my connections. As you may have noticed, I have been updating any Stanley 117 connections I have to Lola’s blue muppoem, #88, and I’ll continue to do so, but today I decided I should record other rainbow connections.

I have definitely had a lot of them in the past which I should like to drudge up and share as well. It’s funny with Time, the magic of those that occurred fade and it’s quite easy for them to become forgetable coincidences. One of the first I can remember having at this moment is of meeting my first boyfriend in San Francisco. I was introduced to him through a mutual friend because he has the same last name as me. Isn’t that funny? When I grew up, no one had ever heard of my name nevermind knew how to pronounce it, and then I move to West Coast, come out of the closet, and I meet Antonio Teixeira, and we become lovers.  It was just his birthday actually on May 22nd… which was another Thing. He was born in 1976, the same year my favorite show, The Muppet Show, premiered and of which I've written 144 poems for.
