Dear Yellow,

You are only a color.

Unlike any other.

Alone.

Humble. Innocent.

Bright. Confident. Radiant.

How do You never stop believing in Your Self?
How do You stay within Your Power?

Could You teach me?
Is it some Thing that can be learned?

Or is it something just that comes to be?

Naturally.

Like I Am Rock.
 
Like You Rock.

i do not want to ever forget about you,
but how am i to keep you close to me if
i have been warned never to consume so
much dirt, absorb too much sunlight, list
en to conversations b/w corn and cheese
or attempt to understand the poetics of a
mustard seed? I keep trying to inspire w/

in my self a sober wisdom of possibility
of hope, but every thing is always change,
and you can shine so brilliantly smart, to
then dirty & dull & fade so quickly, just

like a phase.

I need to be calm.

I want to be still.

Tranquil mountain,

How do i quiet my mind? it keeps spinning 
faster & faster 
w/ such gravity,
helpless
& answers form w/o understanding
as every pure Atom
w/potential ability
implodes concerned
over material
matters of
subjectivity.

i have been waiting for a cloud 
to pass.

For a page 
to turn.

But it's not so easy peezey
to squeezey 
a lemon,
now is it,
Whit?

i wish i understood
patience like
you do,
U.

    Of Separation is the first collection.  It has 24 poems that all have connections to the very first season of The Muppet Show.


For the first season I picked the color yellow and the element of earth.  Here are a few grounding fortuities I discovered afterward:

The Muppet Show opens up with the gorgeous yellow sign...

& at the end of this season's opening theme only, Kermit sits on one, yellow beam... 

& this season features the most guest stars with yellowish hair...

& this is the only season that the Swedish Chef makes all his goodies on a yellow tablecloth...
& the backstage of the theatre has muted yellows and earth tones. I think this helped in making all the other colors of the Muppets pop.
